FAQ: Copy Protection
Do your plugins require an iLok USB device?
No. While we do generally recommend using an iLok 2 or newer for the convenience it provides (it's like a car key, basically), you can also activate your license to the HD of your computer, provided it has internet access. You can then move this activation between computers as needed, using the iLok License Manager application, provided the computers have internet access. The process is described in this document as well as on the ilok.com website.
Legacy Copy Protection Support
As of April 2nd, 2017, we have phased out the eSellerate copy protection system in favor of the flexibility, compatibility, user-friendliness and security advantages the PACE system offers. All new purchases, bundles and trial versions use PACE as of this date. Users of previous, non-PACE protected versions can cross-grade free of charge.
We have supported the eSellerate versions until now. However, eSellerate has recently ceased to offer activation services. As a result, pre-PACE versions of UNVEIL. UNFILTER, UNCHIRP and PITCHMAP can no longer be activated, and performing the free cross-grade is now necessary to keep using these plugins.
